A family neighbor since 1985, in the heart of Fall River.
Family Fall River (Family Service Association) began in a small Rock Street office with one belief: no family should face hard times alone. Today we are a multi-cultural team of counselors, educators, social workers and neighbors serving English, Portuguese, Spanish and Haitian Creole speaking families.
- ✅ Whole-family care: from prenatal to grandparents — counseling, case management, and concrete help in one place.
- ✅ Rooted locally: partnerships with schools, health centers, churches, Battleship Cove events and city programs.
- ✅ Free & confidential: most programs are free, with interpretation, evening hours and home visits.
- ✅ Strength-based: we build on what families already do well — resilience, faith, culture, love.
🎯 Mission
Strengthen families and prevent crisis through accessible counseling, education and community connection.

Questions? Good. We love them.
Is help really free?
Yes — most counseling, classes, pantry and youth programs are free thanks to donors and state grants. Some therapy can bill MassHealth if you have it, but no one is turned away.

Priority is Fall River, Somerset, Swansea, Westport and Tiverton, but anyone in Bristol County can call. We'll refer if we're not the best fit.
What languages do you speak?
English, Portuguese, Spanish and Haitian Creole on staff, plus phone interpretation for 200+ languages.
How fast can I get counseling?
Urgent family needs are triaged same-day. Routine intake is usually within 5-7 days. Walk-ins welcome Mon-Thu 9-3.
Can I volunteer or donate diapers?
Absolutely! Pantry Thursdays, homework helpers, holiday drives. Use the form below — we reply within a day.
